Silent Shouts is the working agency name. The legal operator, business address and direct privacy contact must be confirmed before this preview is used for customer enquiries. These notices must also be checked against the final hosting, email and business arrangements.
1. Who is responsible?
Silent Shouts is the brand used for this website design and hosting agency preview. The legal data controller’s full identity and postal address are awaiting confirmation. Until then this site is intended for private review. You can send a privacy enquiry through the contact form; start your message with “Privacy request”.
2. Information you choose to provide
Our contact form collects your name, email address, optional business name, optional phone number, optional current website and message. The project brief also collects information about your business, audience, goals, project scope, content readiness, budget and proposed timescale. Please avoid sensitive personal data, login credentials and unnecessary information about other people.
3. Information used to run the website
Our hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, request details, browser information and security logs to deliver and protect the site. The agency does not use advertising trackers, profiling or visitor analytics in this version. Essential browser storage remembers your cookie choice. See the cookie notice.
4. Why we use information and our lawful bases
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to an enquiry and discussing a possible project with an individual client | Steps at your request before entering a contract, where Article 6(1)(b) applies |
| Handling business enquiries, corresponding with organisation representatives and reviewing project briefs | Legitimate interests: responding to requests, assessing project suitability and managing business communications |
| Protecting the website and preventing form abuse | Legitimate interests: maintaining a secure, reliable service |
| Keeping accounting or legal records if you become a client | Legal obligation where required; legitimate interests in establishing or defending legal claims where appropriate |
We do not add enquirers to a marketing list. If we introduce optional analytics, marketing or other uses, we will update the relevant information and obtain consent where required. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. Who receives information?
Authorised agency staff can review enquiries. The current technical services are Wix, which hosts this version and processes form submissions and related contact records. If we respond by email, our selected email provider will also process the correspondence. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information to professional advisers or authorities where required or permitted by law.
6. International processing
Our hosting providers may process data outside the UK. Before public launch, the operator must confirm the relevant processing locations, processor contracts and transfer arrangements. Where a restricted transfer applies, it must rely on an applicable UK adequacy regulation or appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum with the required assessment. Details and copies of relevant safeguards can be requested through the privacy contact.
7. How long do we keep information?
Our proposed retention schedule is up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact for unsuccessful enquiries and proposals, followed by deletion. Client project and accounting records may be retained for up to six years after the end of the relevant financial year, or longer where a legal requirement or dispute justifies it. Retention requires an operator review; this version does not automatically purge enquiry records. Browser privacy preferences expire after 180 days. Hosting logs follow the provider’s retention arrangements, which must be verified before launch.
8. Your rights
Depending on the processing and applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction and data portability. You can also withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing.
Use the contact form with “Privacy request” in your message. We may need to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month; lawful extensions may apply to complex or multiple requests. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
9. Required information and automated decisions
Your name, email and message are needed so we can understand and answer an enquiry. The project form also requires your goals and a budget range; “I need guidance” is an option. Without these details we may be unable to respond or prepare a useful proposal. We do not make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
10. Security and changes
Enquiries are stored in Wix Forms and are accessible to authorised people in the agency’s Wix account. We use HTTPS and access controls. No system can be guaranteed completely secure. We may update this policy as the service changes; the date above indicates the latest revision.
